Stainless Steel 253MA

Vivid Steel & Engineering Co. supplies Stainless Steel 253MA Pipes and Tubes for high-temperature, oxidation-resistant and creep-resistant applications. Also known as UNS S30815 / EN 1.4835, 253MA is an austenitic heat-resistant stainless steel alloyed with chromium, nickel, nitrogen and rare-earth elements.

253MA stainless steel is designed for demanding elevated-temperature service where oxidation resistance, creep strength, thermal cycling resistance and structural stability are important. The grade is used in applications such as radiant tubes, furnace components, heat-treatment equipment, rotary kilns, exhaust systems, power-generation equipment and other high-temperature industrial installations.

Vivid Steel & Engineering Co. can supply 253MA pipes in seamless and welded configurations, subject to size, specification, manufacturing route and project requirements.

253MA Seamless Pipes

253MA Seamless Pipes

Manufactured without a longitudinal weld seam, seamless 253MA pipes are suitable for demanding applications where high-temperature performance and pressure-containing capability are required.

253MA Welded Pipes

253MA Welded Pipes

Welded 253MA pipes are manufactured from stainless steel strip or plate and formed and welded according to the applicable manufacturing specification. They can be an economical option for larger diameters and fabricated systems where the applicable product standard permits welded construction.

253MA Tubes

253MA Tubes

253MA tubes are available for applications including: 1. Furnace tubes Radiant tubes Recuperator tubes Heat-treatment equipment Boiler and high-temperature equipment Industrial heating systems

253MA Round Pipes

253MA Round Pipes

Round 253MA pipes and tubes can be supplied in standard nominal pipe sizes or specified outside diameter × wall thickness dimensions.

253MA is an austenitic heat-resistant stainless steel developed for high-temperature applications. It is identified as UNS S30815 and EN 1.4835. It offers high creep strength and excellent resistance to oxidation, particularly under cyclic thermal conditions.

They are different heat-resistant stainless steels with different alloy designs and performance characteristics. 253MA is particularly characterized by high creep strength and oxidation resistance, while 310S has higher chromium and nickel content. The appropriate grade depends on temperature, atmosphere, thermal cycling, stress and design requirements.

Yes. Vivid Steel & Engineering Co. can source/supply 253MA seamless pipes and tubes, subject to required size, standard, quantity and availability.

Manufacturer information indicates approximately 1150°C / 2100°F as a maximum operating capability under suitable conditions. Actual allowable temperature should be established based on the operating environment and engineering design.

The commonly referenced material designations are:
253MA = UNS S30815 = EN 1.4835
253MA is a proprietary/trade designation associated with Outokumpu, while S30815 and 1.4835 identify the material in relevant designation systems.

Yes. 253MA has good weldability, but the welding procedure, filler metal and post-weld requirements should be selected according to the specific application and applicable specification.

Yes. Material Test Certificates and other inspection documentation can be supplied according to the purchase order and project requirements.
